Returns, Cancellations & Online Booking

Returns Policy

If you wish to return a product purchased from us, you may do so within 7 working days of receiving the product. Please include the order number (if an on-line purchase) to enable us to trace the order. We will refund the price of the product, less any delivery costs charged, unless the product is defective, in which case we will also refund the initial delivery costs. Certain exclusions apply (listed below).

Products returned for refund must be in the original packaging (ie outer carton) with no damage to the boxes or equipment. Items returned for refund which have any damage to internal packaging/wrapping, instruction manuals or damage to the outer box, will be subject to a handling charge.

Items returned for refund or exchange which have been tested, trialled, or used will be subject to a greater handling charge. Any items returned with packaging missing/damaged or any other contents, such as looms, remote controls, instruction manuals and fixings will also be charged to the customer.

Any items that wish to be returned after the 7-day Distance Selling Regulations Notification period (and within 28 days of purchase) will be subject to a minimum 25% handling charge.

This is in addition to your statutory rights (returns within 7 days).

Where carriage was included FREE OF CHARGE within the initial order then we reserve the right to refund the purchase price less a charge of £6.99 for UK-mainland orders and £15.00 for UK (non-mainland orders, ie N. Ireland, Jersey, IOM, Channel Islands).

Please note that Software (unless it is still factory sealed and 100% intact) cannot be returned and is exempt from the 7-day Distance Selling Regulations. Custom made items or products altered or designed as per customer's specifications cannot be returned or refunded (i.e. cut cable, acoustic shelves, custom bass boxes).

Faulty Goods

Any items returned faulty (which have been purchased and returned within 14 days) will be replaced and sent back to the customer carriage free.

Any items which develop a fault after 14 days of purchase will be serviced by our acting authorised service centre. Booking the faulty item is a simple procedure which can be done by contacting us. A returns authorisation number (R/A) will be issued once all the details have been submitted. The item will be collected from an address you provide and returned back to you once serviced. There are no charges for this service. Please allow 14 - 30 days for warranty work to be carried out.

Any products which cannot be repaired by our service centre will have to be returned by the customer, to us.

If unsure, please check with our returns department.

We recommend that you return items by Royal Mail registered post for safe delivery.

Faulty goods returned which have been inspected by our engineers and found not to be faulty will be returned to the customer and will incur an appropriate carriage charge (£10 maximum for UK mainland). It is therefore very important that all items are checked for a legitimate fault, by the customer, before booking them in or returning them back to us.

Most items carry 12 months' warranty. Exclusions include: subwoofer boxes, looms, wiring kits, remote controls, batteries, software discs, brackets, facia trims, cases, aerials, and speaker plates. Most ex-demo units carry 12 months warranty unless otherwise stated. Subwoofers are not covered for voice-coil damage due to abuse, overheating, or distortion. Speaker tinsel leads are not covered due to abuse. Damage caused to facia panels by misuse (ie. dropping) is not covered. We do not cover theft of facia panels, main units or any other item.

Faulty items can only be collected from UK mainland and N. Ireland addresses. The return carriage charges quoted are for UK mainland only - other areas will incur additional charges.

 

Terms and conditions 

Contract for the supply of products and services: 

On completion of your online purchase you are entering into a contract with Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd. This contract will be beginning on the sending or our order confirmation email and not before. This email is acceptance by Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd for you to buy goods and services from Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd regardless of your receipt of the order confirmation email.  

Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd reserve the right to withdraw from any pending contract prior to acceptance.  

Installation:  

On completion of your online purchase you will be contacted within 24 working hours by our booking team. Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd aim to complete the installation of your chosen product within 5 working days.  

Bookings are Monday to Friday, AM or PM and where possible our engineers will call 30 minutes prior to arrival.  

It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in a suitable location for the installation to take place. Private car parks, residential areas and driveways are all perfectly acceptable. Installations cannot be carried out in multi-storey car parks or car parks which require a fee to enter.  

We will be unable to carry out work on vehicles which are unroadworthy or in a state of repair.  

Delivery:  

Where possible our engineers will bring your chosen device to site with them on the day of installation. However, in order for Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd to respond to installations quickly, this is not always possible. In this situation the device will be posted to the installation address prior to the installation date.   

Cancellations:  

On completion of your online purchase or payment of your deposit you are entering into a contract with Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd. Any cancellation made will be subject to charges to cover our costs in processing and arranging the installation.  

Orders cancelled 24 working hours prior to the arranged installation date will be subject to a £60.00 cancellation fee.  

Orders cancelled within 24 working hours or the arranged installation date will be subject to a £85.00 cancellation fee.   

Amendments to installation bookings will be charged at £15.00 for cover of administration. 

Orders cancelled after order but prior to booking will be charged at £25.00 for cover of administration. 

Refunds will be made to the same method of payment minus any cancellation fees. 

Changes on the Day:

Where multiple products were booked for installation and you decide on the day not to progress with the installation of all the chosen products as booked, you will be subject to a £100.00 cancellation fee, per product.  

Missed Appointments: 

Where an enginneer visits site, you miss your booking and/or the vehicle fail to be at the requested installation location you will be subject to a £100.00 cancellation fee. 

After Installation:  

Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd maintain very high installation standards. Should you be displeased with the installation of your device or find there to be a vehicle issue then please notify Safe & Sound Vehicle Systems Ltd via email to sales@sasmobile.co.uk within 24 hours of installation.
