VW Golf R and the Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser are two amazing bits of engineering which pair perfectly with each other!
The VW Golf R is a highly desirable vehicle and is often targeted by thieves. The are many reports of the Golf R been stolen by way of Key Cloning, Key Theft or more recently Car Jacking. The Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser is an incredibly small and discreet device, which is completely undetectable and completely invisible, once installed. The Ghost sits on the CAN network of your VW Golf R and will prevent the engine from starting using digital technology unless a user defined PIN code is entered via the buttons on the steering wheel. This PIN code can be anything from 4 to 20 button presses long making it very flexible and very secure.
What's more is the addition of the Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser Smartphone Bluetooth App, which makes it seamless for every day driving, and those not wanting to enter a PIN code. You simply pair your phone to the Ghost and providing you're signed in to the app when entering the vehicle, it allows you to start the vehicle without entering your code. Of course should your phone not be available then you can simply enter your code manually and away you go.
It even has a convenient "Service" feature, which allows the Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser to be temporarily disabled for Servicing and Valeting.
